BOND PLANNING
COMMITTEE
PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE
citizens committee Convened
The Bond Planning Committee (BPC) consisted of 20 teachers, parents, staff, and community members of Krum ISD who gathered together to study and prioritize the district’s current and long-term facility needs. In a series of meetings that took place from June to December 2021, the committee studied enrollment history, construction costs, bonding capacity scenarios and expected growth in the community. This committee will continue to meet and provide oversight and input into bond planning.
community input
The committee discussed two bond options: a bond called in one election designed to meet Krum ISD’s needs for the next 10 years OR multiple bond elections, requiring new vote every 2-3 years. To gather opinions about Krum ISD and to gauge the level of support for the bond package options the district conducted a survey in December of 2021.
