Over the last 30 years, Krum ISD has expanded from serving less than 850 students in the 1991-1992 school year, to serving approximately 2,200 students in the 2021-2022 school year.

Krum ISD hired Davis Demographics to conduct a demographics study for student enrollment over the next 10 years. 

This study showed 20 residential developments that were actively under construction or in planning within the more than 100 square miles that make up Krum ISD. 

Within these developments will be approximately 11,500 homes. 

Over the last five years, new homes have brought an average of .76 students per home into Krum ISD. 

11,500 homes x .76 students per home = 8,700 students new to Krum ISD
